Estate Sale Etiquette

1

Obey NO PARKING signs. Please do not park in someone’s yard, in front of their mailbox, or in a driveway. They may have sod, sprinkler heads, expecting mail, need to get somewhere, etc. - you get the picture.

2

Get in line. We put out lists at most of our sales for you to sign up on. Once you’ve put your name down, feel free to go back to your car, nap, grab breakfast or coffee, etc. As it gets closer to time to open, please get in line in order and wait for us to open up. We’ll call names to make sure there’s no cutting.

3

Please do not drag furniture. It scratches the floors. You will be billed for the repair(s).

4

We are not professional movers Most of you aren’t either. Items are sold ‘AS IS WHERE IS.’ but please do not move something if it is too heavy. You might hurt yourself, damage a wall, etc. which will both end up costing you money.

5

Please do not wreck the bathrooms. Please clean up after yourself. Do not use the towels on display or flush anything other than toilet paper. Let someone know if there is a problem.

6

PLEASE pay attention to the DO NOT ENTER signs. The client might have personal items in the room or the floor may be damaged/toilet is broken.

7

Don’t be rude to the cashier. They’re usually under a lot of stress and trying their best. If they give you the best price, please do not beg for a better one. Come back the next day for our extra % off or understand that some clients do not want to take less for certain items. Our job is to make the most for the client that we can. We sign a contract that outlines our process and defines the discount schedule before we start.

8

Please do not be rude to other customers. These are material things you’re shopping for that did not belong to you in the first place.

9

Racist, sexist or homophobic people are not welcome. Keep any sort of judgmental comments to yourself or you will be asked to leave and never come back to one of our sales.

10

Do not touch us. We don’t mind calling the cops.

11

Please use the trash cans provided for your waste.
