This historic home dating from 1915 belonged to Margaret Perrin, the pianist and orchestra leader who in the last century was an institution on Atlanta’s music scene and a fixture at the Piedmont Driving Club. Previously the house belonged to her brother Fred Perrin, who in the 1970s was the Secretary of the Coca-Cola Company. They lived there as children in the 1920s, until their father lost the family homestead in the Great Depression. By 1973 Fred was able to buy it back, and he had the house furnished by the best interior decorators of the time and restored it to its former glory. The home is filled with artifacts from the 1950s through 90s, including designer clothing that Margaret wore onstage when playing for heads of state, unique Coca-Cola Company photographs/documents from the 1960s and 70s, and even Jimmy Carter inauguration memorabilia from when Margaret played at the White House. Please come join us to celebrate a life well lived and a one-of-a-kind collection from all over the world, Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. REMAINING ITEMS 50% OFF!
